My lifelong love of dogs and dog sports was firmly cemented in Kalgoorlie over 40 years ago, becoming an Obedience Judge in 1980. My first dog was an Afghan Hound, who certainly challenged my abilities. She achieved her CD, winning trophies and awards, and she was a member of the local Demonstration Team. I spent many years travelling to Perth to trial with my German Shepherds, with a lot of successes along the way. I was Head Trainer and President of the Eastern Goldfields Kennel Club and a Senior Trainer and President of the Kalgoorlie & Districts German Shepherd Obedience Dog Club. After moving to Perth in 1981, I purchased my first Rottweiler puppies and began helping other Rottweiler owners train their dogs, becoming Head Trainer and President of the West Coast Rottweiler Club.

I have enjoyed judged extensively throughout the state, including numerous Perth Royal Shows and State Obedience, Rally O and Agility Trials, as well as State DWD Competitions. I have also had the pleasure of judging National Agility and Obedience Trials (including National Rottweiler Obedience Trials). Judging in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur have been wonderful experiences too, as has putting trainee judges through the Judges Course.

I am honoured and excited to be a part of the German Shepherd Dog Council of Australia National in 2019. I look forward to the events; and wish all competitors the best for a very successful National!
