NOTICE
VCA EXTREME WEATHER POLICY SURVEY

Dear Member of the GSDCV who is a Dogs Victoria Member who exhibits at shows.
For those of you that received the July 2015 Dogs Victoria Magazine, please note on pages 21 to 24, there is a Survey that the Dogs Victoria would like all exhibitors to respond too.
The GSDCV Management Committee has put some suggestions together that may help in your response to the Survey.
It is important to note that the GSDCV does have a Heat Policy which we enact on extreme weather days, however this Survey is referring to other weather conditions that we may encounter at shows.
The GSDCV strongly believes that the cancellation of our shows is not an option due to many exhibitors coming from interstate, who expend large amounts of money on air fares, accommodation etc. Others, particularly country members, may already have booked accommodation (eg for Ballarat, Champ Shows). The GSDCV is known for holding our particular type of shows where the temperature has been high and where there have been storms and winds and even though there have been some very cold (or hot) people, we have not had any serious problems thanks to good management of the dogs, exhibitors and the many helpers.
Members can fill in the form in the magazine or go online, either way, we the exhibitors, need to provide to Dogs Victoria, our thoughts on Extreme Weather Policy.
Please ensure your response is returned, (as stipulated in the magazine) or completed online no later than Friday 31st July 2015 and that your Dogs Victoria membership number is noted in the first section of the Survey or the response will not be counted.
If you the exhibitor wishes to ensure that you have your say about what happens in extreme weather conditions then you need to support us by providing a response. It’s in your hands.
