You can provide comment online or by email until the 13th May 2013.

In Victoria dog breeders who own more than three fertile bitches must register with their local Council as a Domestic Animal Business (and comply with the above Code), unless they are a member of an Applicable Organisation. Members of such an organisation (e.g. Dogs Victoria) may have up to nine fertile female animals before they need to register. To obtain this exemption the organisation needs to have its own code of conduct for breeders, and there are certain obligations upon members to comply, in order for the organisation to maintain this status.

Steve Moore from the DPI will be giving a seminar to Dogs Victoria members at KCC Park at 7.30pm on 24th April 2013 to explain our obligations under the various Codes within the Victorian Legislation and Domestic Animals Act.
