Re: GSDCA HD/ED Reader – Dr. Jenny Richardson
Dr Jenny Richardson, Western Australia has agreed to be a reader for the GSDCA HD & ED Dysplasia Control Scheme.
Doug West, GSDCA Hip and Elbow Dysplasia Control Scheme Registrar will be circulating to all Member Club HD/ED Registrars, labels displaying contact details for Dr. Jenny Richardson, which are to be applied to the GSDCA HD/ED Applications Forms each Club has in stock.

GSDCV Annual Report

At the GSDCV Annual General Meeting, held on March 20th, the 2010 Annual Report was presented. For those not able to be at the AGM, the annual report is now available here for all to read.


The GSDCV Annual General Meeting was held on Sunday March 20th 2011, at KCC Park.

The office bearers of Management Committee of the GSDCV elected for 2011 are:

GSDCV Online ENTRIES Open !!!

The GSDCV is please to announce release of our online Show and Trial Entry facility.

From the link here (see also 'online ENTRIES' on the main menu) exhibitors can now enter dogs into all GSDCV Shows and Trials (obedience, endurance and tracking).

Exhibitors enter dog details for each show/trial class, the via the online chekout, pay for the entries via credit card. No more cheques, stamps or racing to the post office !!!

Entries are now open for the following events:

GSDCV Championship Show (April 30th) - Entries close March 31st

GSDCV Open Tracking Test One (April 9th) - Entries close April 2nd

GSDCV back to Back Obedience Trial (April 30th) - Entries close April 17th

Moomba Madness for GSDCV !

On Monday March 14th 10 members and their dogs represented the GSDCV as part of the Royal Melbourne Show's 'Best in Show' float in the annual MOOMBA parade. Crowd estimates of 70,000+ watched our GSD's strut their stuff down Swantson St Melbourne in the Moomba parade. The dogs were the heroes with the crowd and they were mobbed for pats and cuddles, in between acting out our ‘best in show’ ring routine. View the slideshow and read the full details here

GSD Stud Dogs Presentation

At the GSDCV Breed Affairs Seminar in 2010, GSDCV Breed Surveyor Vince Tantaro gave a presentation of Australian based GSD Stud Dogs and their bloodlines.

The presentation was given on behalf of the Victorian GSDCA Breed Surveyors.

ANKC Neuter Champion Title

ANKC Neuter Champion Title

Members wishing to enter their dogs in the new Neuter Classes to obtain points toward the newly introduced Neuter Champion title must apply to have their dog(s) recorded as a Neuter on the Main Register of the ANKC database. (Refer to ANKC regulations Part 5, Section 3.5)

3.5 Only dogs or bitches registered with an ANKC Member Body as a “neuter” on the
main register shall be eligible to compete in either Class 15,16,17 or 18. (Amended

You are required  to return the original Main Certificate of Registration to the office along with a photocopy of the desexing certificate.

You will be issued with a new certificate reflecting the updated status of your dog.

The administration fee for this service will be $15.00

Please note: Any Neuter Champion title points accrued prior to the date your dog was recorded as a Neuter on the Main Register of the ANKC database may not be counted towards granting the Neuter Champion title.
