Melbourne Pet Expo Update

The GSDCV took part in a very successful weekend at the annnual Melbourne Pet & Animal Expo, held over the 13th – 15th February 2009 at Caulfield Racecourse. This 3 day event attracts thousands of animal lovers each year. Again the GSDCV had a great promotional stand to showcase our dogs and our club, and provided working demonstrations each day to the public, along with having our dogs involved in 'meet the breed' talks, 'ranger information' sessions and 'Puppies at Play' demos - cute puppies are always a big hit with the public ! Our dogs on the stand were available for lots of interaction with the public as we provided information and assisitance to all those interested in the German Shepherd Dog.

Victorian Bushfire Appeal - GSDCA Book Drive

The German Shepherd Dog Council of Australia Inc. Executive is seeking the support of the Member Clubs, and any other GSD enthusiasts, in a united effort to provide library books for the re-establishing of libraries at the Kindergartens, Primary Schools, and Secondary Schools that have been destroyed or affected by the current bush fires in Victoria. We are looking to have members purchase NEW books (not donate second-hand books) that will be stored in readiness for the schools as they are rebuilt. Please refer to the GSDCA website for full information. Thankyou for your support !
